Submitted by: Kent Robarge 28 September 2003 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Andrew Amans in September 30, 1915 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Death of Andrew Amans Andrew Amans of this city died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1915, following a stroke of apoplexy which he suffered the preceding day while visiting his brother, Charles, at Dobie. Mr. Amans was one of the pioneers of Rice Lake having come here from Canada to settle on a homestead near Campia. For the last twenty-six years he had been a resident of this city. He had reached the age of 73 years, 5 months and 28 days, and his life of industry and neighborliness had made him numerous friends. The funeral was held Saturday from St. Joseph's church.
