Submitted by: Kent Robarge 28 September 2003 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Delia (Renville) Amans in August 17, 1932 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Mrs. Delia Amans Mrs. Delia Amans, 72, a pioneer of Barron county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Mireau, on West Marshall street, Tuesday. She was born in the province of Quebec and came with her parents to Barron county in 1867. She married Chas. Amans, who died two years ago, June 30, 1879, and after living with her folks for a short time moved onto what is known as the Charles Amans farm, where they built up a home. She moved to town to make her home with her daughter last November. Surviving are four sons, George of Angus, Henry of West Allis and Nap and Clifford of Rice Lake; three daughters, Georgia of Ashland, Mrs. Sarah Mireau of this city, and Mrs. R.D. (Celeste) Smith of Yakima, Wash.; a number of grandchildren, also three brothers and three sisters: Joe Renville of this city, George of Yakima, and Louis of Canada, and Mrs. Wm. Hickey of Rice Lake, Mrs. Georgia Aronson of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Mrs. Ben Wood of Canada. Two sons have not been heard of for 25 years and one daughter died some years ago.
