Private services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with Rev. Kevin Gordon officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery and visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Appleyard's. Mr. Brunette was born March 31, 1918 in Rice Lake to Peter and Johanna Brunette. He married Violet LaBrie on Sept. 10, 1938 in Rice Lake. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for South West Forestries in a plywood factory in Albany, Ore., for over 20 years, returning to Rice Lake in 1977. He is survived by his wife, Violet; a son, Ronald of Port Orchard, Wash.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold, of Rice Lake; three sisters, Dorothy Foltz and Betty Anderson, both of Haugen, and Eleanor Reihl of California."
