Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Marie Chartier in April 30, 1927 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Miss Marie Chartier Miss Marie Chartier, aged 22, passed away Saturday morning, April 16, after a long illness. For about a year she was a patient at the tuberculosis sanatorium near La Crosse, Wis., but when her condition did not improve she returned home last fall. Deceased was born here August 23, 1904. After completing her studies here she attended Holy Ghost Institue in Techny, Ill., an dlater worked at Depere, St. Paul and Boscobel. Besides the mother, Mrs. J.K. Tschida, there survive three sisters, Mrs. E.A. Dalke of Wausau and Geneva and May at home, and three brothers, Roy, Lloyd and Arthur. The funeral was held Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's church, Rev. A.J. Van Helden officiating. Among those here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Dahlke of Wausau and Archie Lovell of Palatine, Ill., who was engaged to the young lady.
