Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Olivine (Lambert) Couture in Wed, July 2, 1947 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Mrs. Oliver Couture Mrs. Oliver Couture, 71 of Rice Lake, died Thursday, June 26, at a Rice Lake hospital of heart trouble after an illness of nine weeks. Funeral services were held Monday, June 30, at St. Joseph church with the Rev. Joseph Higgen officiating. Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery at Dobie. Pallbearers were Louis Crotteau, John Hickey, Fred Morneau, Alex Demars, Anton Frolik, and William Couture. J.P. Schneider and Son had charge of arrangements. Mrs. Couture was born Aug. 2, 1875 at Rice Lake, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Lambert. She married Oliver Couture Aug. 7, 1900 at Dobie and they made their home in Rice Lake. Her husband and a sister preceded her in death. For the past year she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Olson, at Grandview, Wis., returning to Rice Lake in April. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Olson; a son, Edmound, of Montana; a brother, Peter Lambert of Rice Lake; a sister, Mrs. Prosper Boury of Rice Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Olson of Grandview were here for the funeral.
