Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Alfred Crotteau in Wed., Oct. 28, 1981 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Fred Crotteau Fred Crotteau, 85, a longtime resident of Rice Lake, died Sunday at Thorp, where he had lived with his son, Harold, for the past four years. Funeral services were held at Thorp this Wednesday and burial was also there. Mr. Crotteau was born Dec. 5, 1895. He was employed by the Barron county highway commission from 1928 to 1953. His wife, Marie, preceded him in death in 1937. Mr. Crotteau is survived by two sons, Harold of Thorp and Larry of Oakland, Calif.; one brother, Bill of Canton, two sisters, Evelyn Boury of Manitowoc and Exzillia Kummet of Rice Lake and by six grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one daughter.
