Traffic officers said Mrs. Crotteau was apparently thrown out by the lurching car when it skidded into the ditch and then the rear wheels passed over her body. Investigation of the mishap is continuing. Funeral services for Mrs. Crotteau were held Wednesday afternoon from the Mirr funeral home in Bruce, with burial in the Bruce cemetery. Mrs. Crotteau was born at Shell Lake April 13, 1915, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Halseth, and was married to John F. Crotteau at Trego in 1932. The couple moved 20 years ago to the farm which they still operated north of Bruce. Survivors include her husband, five sons, Dale of Lakeland, Fla., Norman of Minneapolis, Tom of Denver, and Robert and Edward at home; two daughters, Mrs. Harlan Fenske of Rice Lake and Mrs. John Wolverton of Minneapolis and several grandchildren. There is also her mother, Mrs. Selma Halseth of Shell Lake, and three sisters.
