Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Death Notice of Evelyn (Lusson) Crotteau in Wed., March 28, 1951 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Young Mother of 6, Briefly Ill, Dies A 32-year-old town of Stanley mother of six children succumbed Monday night at St. Joseph's hospital here after a brief illness. She was Mrs. Lloyd Crotteau, whose six children range in age from eleven downward. Funeral services will take place at St. Joseph's church at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, with burial in the church cemetery. The body was removed from the Schneider funeral home this afternoon to the Joseph Lusson home, 6 Noble av., where it will remain until the time of services. A detailed obituary will appear next week. Obituary of Evelyn (Lusson) Crotteau in Wed., April 4, 1951 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Mrs. Crotteau Is Buried Thursday A solemn requiem high mass of Mrs. Lloyd Crotteau, 32, of Rt. 4, Rice Lake, took place at St. Joseph's church Thursday with burial following in St. Joseph's cemetery. Mrs. Crotteau, the mother of six, died the previous Monday at St. Joseph's hospital of a liver ailment after a short illness. Father Louis Novak, assistant at St. Joseph's, was the celebrant, assisted by Father Benedict Hauer of Haugen as deacon and Father Roman Ludwig of Jessie, N.D. as subdeacon. Born Evelyn Lusson at Cresco, Iowa, Feb. 18, 1919, Mrs. Crotteau moved to Dobie at the age of one year with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lusson, of 6 Noble av. She grew up at Dobie. She was married there June 7, 1938, and since had lived on Rt. 4, Rice Lake, with her husband. She was a member of the Meadow Creek Housekeepers club. Besides her husband and parents Mrs. Crotteau is survived by four daughters, Carol, 7; Jeanie, 5; Diane, 3; and Dorothy, 1; two sons, Richard, 11, and Gerald, 9; three sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Irene) Crotteau; Mrs. Sylvester (Mary Ann) Harricks and Mrs. Edward (Rita) Richter; two brothers, Raymond and Frank, and a grandfather, John Lusson of Cresco. Pallbearers were Victor Schneider, Fred Ramsdell, Luvern Demers, Lester LeMay, Tom Bouska and Raphael Zhornik, the latter two of Cresco. The Schneider funeral home was in charge.
