She lived in Barron County from birth until 1919 but corresponded her whole life. Mary Doyle, 82 Died April 29 (Chronotype 1942?) Doyle Township Was Named After Husband, John J. Doyle Mrs. Mary Doyle, 82, resident of Barron County for more than 60 years,died Thursday at her home on Route 1, Rice Lake. Funeral services for Mrs. Doyle were conducted Monday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church, Dobie, with the Rev. Joseph Mayou officiating. Assisting Rev.Mayou were the Rev. Raymond Duggan, Dubuque, IA, a nephew of Mrs.Doyle; and the Rev. Chas. Killeen and the Rev. Michael Killeen, both of Green Bay. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Jos. Svacina, John Roux, Frank Bradley, George Mireau, Carl Penzkover and Elmer Thebert. J. P. Schneider & Son had charge of the arrangements. Doyle township, the first one east of Rice Lake, was named for Mrs.Doyle's husband, the late John J. Doyle, who also served as the chairman of the township. Mrs. Doyle was born June 5, 1860, in Manitowoc county. She was married to John J. Doyle May 10, 1880 at Chilton. The couple lived there two years before coming to Rice Lake in October, 1882. They farmed for many years east of here. Mr. Doyle died Jan. 5, 1922. Mrs. Doyle was a member of the Altar Society at Dobie about 50 years. Surviving are four sons, James, William, John and Joseph, and a daughter, Mary, all of whom live east of here; two grandchildren; and three brothers, Patrick, Ed, and James Quinn, Rice Lake. One son and three daughters preceded Mrs. Doyle in death. Miss Anna Doyle (Chronotype date ?) Miss Anna L. Doyle, 50, who lived her entire life in this county, died this afternoon at St. Joseph's hospital following a lingering illness. She had been in the hospital two days. Born in the town of Doyle, Miss Doyle lived with her mother, Mrs. John Doyle, and three brothers on their farm seven miles east of town on Route 1. The brothers surviving are James, John, and William Doyle at this farm and Joseph Doyle of an adjoining farm. A sister, Mary doyle, who was working as a trained nurse, cared for her in her final illness.
