Demars/Demers) Obituary from Dec 14, 1988 Rice Lake Chronotype "Funeral services for Eva M. Demars, 94, of Rice Lake were held Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake with Rev. Eugene Teofilo officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. She died Saturday at the Lakeview Medical Center. Eva Robarge was born June 11, 1894 in Dobie, where she married Eugene Demers on Dec. 26, 1911. They farmed in the Town of Rice Lake until 1917, when they moved to Stanfold Township to farm. She also worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth for 16 years, retiring and returning to Rice Lake in 1957. Survivors include daughters, Isabelle Bard of Duluth and Marcella Greisen and Leona Richter, both of Rice Lake; sons, Elmer of Indianapolis and Clarence, Donald, Patrick, LeRoy and Eugene (Joe), all of Rice Lake; 67 grandchildren; 124 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josephine Martindale of Cudahy. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons."
