He was taken to the Bloomer hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. An autopsy was later performed at Eau Claire. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. this Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Barron, with Rev. Daniel Dahlberg officiating. Burial will be made in Wayside cemetery there. Mr. DeMers was born April 21, 1943 at Cumberland, and was married June 4 1967 at Barron to the former Shirley Marion, who survives him. He had been a Dunn county resident for the past several years, and was employed at the Harnisch Sawmill in Connersville. Other survivors are his mother, Katherine Lundequam of Cumberland; a son Randy and a daughter, Tina, both at home; two sisters, Rosemarie Phernetton of Webster and Patricia Nelson of International Falls, Minn. Friends may call at the Miller funeral home in Dallas this Wednesday evening. A prayer service is scheduled there at 7:30.
