Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Bernice (Secore) Demers in May 30, 1979 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Bernice Demers Funeral services were held Tuesday from St. Joseph's Catholic church for Bernice Demers, 65, of 215 W. Marshall st. who died Thursday evening at the Northland Care center. Rev. John Spanjers officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Demers was born Feb. 27, 1914 in the town of Rice Lake and lived in this vicinity all of her life. She was married Aug. 11, 1931 to Edward Demers in Rice Lake and had been an active member of St. Joseph's Altar society. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Harvey and DeWayne of Rice Lake and Richard of Cameron; three daughters, Ella Ruetten of Sparta, Elaine Sundby of Colfax and Cheryl Gabriel of Rice Lake, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her father, Frank Secore; two brothers, Maurice and Ray Secore of Rice Lake and three sisters, Lillian Schneider and Marcella Barbee of Rice Lake and Leona Currier of Ironwood, Mich. also survived.
