Demers (son of Alexander Demers and Evalina Demers) From Rice Lake Chronotype, Dec. 23, 1992 "John DeMers, 75, of Thousand Palms, Calif., formerly of Rice Lake, died Nov. 14 in California. Funeral services were held Nov. 19 at Steele Chapel in Longview Memorial Park (believe this is Longview, Wash). Mr. DeMers was born March 6, 1917 in Rice Lake, where he was raised. After moving to California (believe this should be Washington), he was part owner of the Triangle Bowl. He was a member of the Cowlitz Valley Moose and American Legion, and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. [The Triangle Bowl is located in Longview, Washington, which is also in Cowlitz county]. Survivors include his wife, Gloria of Thousand Palms, Calif.; a daughter, Cheryl Gerry of Portland, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Leslie Price of Lynden, Wash.; two grandchildren, Steve Gerry of San Francisco and Christine Gerry of Eugene, Ore.; two stepgrandsons, Chris and Cole Price, both of Lynden, Wash.; two brothers, Harold and George; and a sister, Averila Mancuso."
