Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Roseanna (Crotteau) Demers in Wed, Feb. 5, 1958 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) Dies In Cloquet Funeral services for Mrs. Roseanna DeMars, 84, of Cloquet, Minn. who died Tuesday, will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Catholic church in Cloquet. Mrs. DeMars is the only sister of Henry Crotteau, 209 W. Marshall. She was born in Rice Lake in 1874 and was married to Ernest DeMars, brother of Mike DeMars of Rice Lake. Her husband died about 12 years ago. She is survived by eight children. Funeral services were held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic church at Cloquet, Minn. Thursday for Mrs. Roseanna Demers, 84, who died at Cloquet Jan. 4. Rev. Lanfrane LeMay, O.S.B., a grandson of the deceased officiated for the mass, while five other grandsons assigned at the alter and another six served as pallbearers Mrs. Demers was born in Rice Lake in 1874, and is a sister of Henry Crotteau of 209 W. Marshall st. She is also survived by eight children and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Local people attending the funeral Thursday included Mike Demers, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Crotteau, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Crotteau, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ryan, Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Demers, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stoeberl and son Gilbert, Lloyd Crotteau, Mrs. Louis Saffert, Mrs. Cecelia Heldstab and Miss Eleanor Thome of Rice Lake; Mr. and Mrs. William Ruff of Almena and Gilbert and William Demers of Minneapolis.
