DeMars Buried at Madison "Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon in the Frautschl Funeral home at Madison for Westly A. DeMars, 63, who died in a Madison hospital after a long illness. A Rice Lake native and resident of the city until young manhood, he died Oct. 20. Mr. DeMars was married to the former Beaulah Hirsch in 1930 and had lived in Madison for the past 22 years where he was employed as assistant building and equipment supervisor for the Wisconsin Power & Light Co. for 43 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist church, the Masons, the Scottish Rite and the Zor Shrine. Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald, of Poynette; a daughter, Mrs. Gayle Parsons of Madison; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Olson of Birchwood; his father, Henry DeMars, now residing at the Northland Care center in Rice Lake; and six grandchildren."
