Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Anastina (Roux) [Derousseau] Derousseau in Wed., Sept. 16, 1936 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Mrs. Ed Derousseau Mrs. Ed Derousseau, a city pioneer, was born in Quebec, Canada, June 4, 1881, and died in a local hospital Wednesday, Sept. 9, after a lingering illness. She moved to Rice Lake with her parents when she was 2 years old, and has resided here since that time. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's Catholic church Saturday, Rev. B. Niggemann officiating. Interment was in the Dobie cemetery. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Derousseau, one daughter, and Jeff Roux, her father. Surviving are one son, Archie, and two daughters, Mrs. Horace Mireau, and Mrs. George Mattson of this city, her husband, Ed Derousseau, two brothers, Wm. Roux of Minneapolis, and Fred Roux of this city, four sisters, Mrs. John Burke of Rice Lake, Mrs. Alex Forrest of Hibbing, Mrs. George Forrest of Cloquet, and Mrs. Chas. Popple of Cornell, and her stepmother, Mrs. Jeff Roux. Also surviving are three half brothers, one half sister, and eight grandchildren.
