Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Dominique Derousseau in Wed., Nov. 27, 1957 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Dominique Derouseau Is Buried Wednesday Dominique Derouseau, 78, a retired farmer, died Monday morning at his home at 16 E. Sawyer st., Rice Lake, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning in St. Joseph's Catholic church, with Msgr. Peter F. Meyer officiating, and burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery at Dobie. Mr. Derouseau was born Jan. 16, 1879, in Quebec, Canada, but came to this area with his parents while a baby. He was married here to Mary Derosher and a short time later they moved to Washington, then to Canada. They returned to Rice Lake ten years ago. Mr. Derouseau is survived by his wife; two sons, Homer and Elmer of Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Secore and Mrs. Jake Boehmer of Rice Lake; three brothers, Medric of Rice Lake, Cyril of Cameron and Phillip of Tacoma, Wash., six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
