Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Eusebe Derousseau in Wed., Jan. 18, 1950 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Eusebe Derousseau Funeral services for Eusebe "Zip" Derousseau, 50, of Rt. 4, Rice Lake, life-long resident of this area, were held Friday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, with Msgr. Peter F. Meyer officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Roux, Sever Rundhaug, Gene Demars, Martin Quinn, Leslie Roux, Joseph Stodola, Steve Smreka and Maurice Crotteau. Mr. Derousseau died unexpectedly Monday evening at St. Joseph's hospital of a heart attack. He had been ill about two weeks. Eusebe Derousseau was born in Rice Lake in 1999. He was married to Lena Hetzel at Notre Dame de Lourdes church in Minneapolis in 1923. The couple settled on the farm where Mr. Derousseau was living at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Joseph's church. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Eleanor) Kolb of Barron, Dorothy, Viola and Alice at home; one son, Edward of Hot Springs, S. D.; three sisters, Marie Derousseau of Rice Lake, Mrs. Zelmae Haddick of Eau Claire and Mr. Joe Stahl of Binford, N.D.; also one grandchild. His father, Edward Derousseau, preceded him in death by only three days.
