Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Lyna (Crotteau) Derousseau in Feb. 2, 1983 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Lyna Derousseau Buried Wednesday Funeral services were held this Wednesday for Lyna Derousseau, 81, of 125 W. Humbird St., Rice Lake, who died Sunday at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. Father Marty Gibbons officiated the ceremonies from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake and burial was made in the church cemetery. The former Lyna Crotteau was born Jan. 31, 1901 at Rice Lake and married Archie Derousseau on Aug. 27, 1923 at Hibbing, Minn. They later moved to Rice Lake where she was employed at the Rice Lake Laundry for 27 years. She has been a member of the Women of the Moose for 52 years. She is survived by two sons, John (Rollie) and Bernard of Rice Lake; three daughters, Earlene Asunto of Milwaukee, Shirley Humphrey of Tonopah, Ariz., and Karen Wingad of Eau Claire; 28 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one sister, Victoria Roussell of Washington; and one brother, Alex Crotteau of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, in 1976 and by one brother.
