Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Mary (LaLiberty) [Smith] Derousseau in Oct. 20, 1921 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Mrs. Mary Derouso Mary, wife of Ed Derouso of this city, died at a hospital in Chippewa Falls early Sunday morning of diabetes from which she had been a sufferer for about two years. Her husband, two sons, Eusebe and Francis, and two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Haddick and Mrs. Roy Geisert, were at her bedside when she passed away. One daughter, Ealda, was in North Dakota, and was summoned home for the funeral which took place on Wednesday from St. Joseph's church, the Rev. Fr. Van Helden officiating. Mary Laliberty was born on May 15, 1870, and reached the age of 51 years, 4 months and 28 days. Twenty four years ago she was married to Ed Derouso, and for the past ten years they have resided in this city, formerly living on a farm east of the city. She was possessed of a genial and kind disposition, and was widely known, having many close friends. Besides her husband and children she is survived by three brothers, Louis of this city, Thomas and Lowry, and one sister, Mrs. August Holtz of Mankato, Minn., who was here for the funeral.
