Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary of Marvin Derousseau in Wed., Aug. 14, 1974 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Marv Derousseau Buried Saturday Marvin C. Derousseau, 53, long time farmer in the Rice Lake area, died Saturday at Lakeside hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Monday from St. Joseph's Catholic church with Rev. James Dabruzzi officiating and burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Derousseau was born Oct. 18, 1920 at Rice Lake and spent nearly all of his life in this area. He was a veteran of the army in World War II, serving in the European theater. Mr. Derousseau was married April 7, 1947 to Fay Kurtzhals and farmed on Rt. 4 for many years. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dennis of Tomah and Randy at home; three daughters, Carol Jean, a student at Northwestern university at Evanston, Ill., Lynette, a student at UW-Eau Claire and Pamela at home; one grandson; his mother, Mrs. Cordelia Derousseau of Rice Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Adrian Molitor of Rice Lake and Mrs. George Hilburn of Milwaukee.
