Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Phillip DeRousseau in Sat., Nov. 6, 1976 Tacoma News Tribune (Tacoma, Pierce Co., WA) Oldest Eagle, DeRousseau D. P. (Phil) DeRousseau, 93, of 2705 57th Ave. NE, a retired logger, died yesterday. He was born in Rice Lake, Wis., and had lived in Tacoma 70 years. Mr. DeRousseau was until his death the oldest living Eagle Lodge member in the nation, having joined the fraternal order in 1908. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Gladys; a son, Phil of Tacoma; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Delores) Barker of Tacoma, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mountain View Funeral Home is in charge.
