Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Cyril Derousseau in Jan. 13, 1960 Rice Lake Chrontoype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Cyril Derousseau, Local Pioneer, Passes Funeral services for Cyril Derousseau, 80, for 79 years a resident of the Rice Lake area, were held Wednesday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Dobie with Rev. F. Desiderius officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Derousseau, a pioneer settler, died Sunday at the Cameron rest home. He ahd been an invalid for many years. Surviving are a son, Wesley of Rice Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Vernie Zieroth and Mrs. Lila Robarge of Rice Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Secore and Mrs. Jacob Boehmer of Rice Lake; two brothers, Phillip of Tacoma, Wash. and Medric of Rice Lake. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His wife, Philomene, died almost 26 years aog and a son, Mallen, was killed in a mill accident here a number of years ago. Mr. Derousseau was born Jan. 25, 1879 in Quebec, Canada and came to this area as an infant. A rosary was recited at the Schneider-Mason funeral home Tuesday night.
