Hauck in Wed., Dec. 19, 1956 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Frank J. Hauck Dies Friday at 85 Frank J. Hauck, 85, a resident of the Rice Lake area more than 40 years, died Friday morning at the farm home of his son, Joseph on Rt. 4, Rice Lake, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Monday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church, with Msgr. Peter F. Meyer officiating, and burial was made in the church cemetery. Mr. Hauck was born Aug. 15, 1871 at Cresco, Iowa and came to this area in 1913 to farm in the town of Rice Lake. In 1938 he retired and moved into the city, but had returned to live at the home of his son earlier this year. He was married Sept. 5, 1896 at St. Mary's Ridge, Wis., to Odelia Schieffer, who preceded him in death Nov. 7, 1944. He later married the former Henrietta Hanson, April 20, 1949 in Rice Lake. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arnold of Eau Claire and Joseph of Rice Lake, six daughters, Mrs. Katherine Hayes and Mrs. Victor Shimon of Rice Lake, Mrs. Mary Jilbert and Mrs. Tena Coates of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ann Revelle of Winetka, Ill., and Mrs. Alice Reagan of Seattle,Wash.; 47 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. One son preceded him in death, as did three brothers, all of whom were priests, and a sister who was a nun.
