Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron Co News Shield, Barron, WI - Wednesday 18 Aug 1965 page 4 col 8 - obituary Mrs Clara Hanson Mrs Clara Hanson, 85, of Dallas died Sunday, Aug 15, at the Baldwin hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks. She was born Dec 23, 1879 at Bear Creek, Minn., and came to Barron county in 1903. She lived most of her life in the Sioux Creek-Dallas area. She was married Jan 23, 1898 to John Hanson at Bear Creek. He died in 1918. Also preceding her in death were a son, Joseph, four brothers and two sisters. Surviving are five sons, Arthur of Baldwin, Halbert of Rolette, ND, Marvin of Madison, Freeman of Dallas and Edwin of Stockton, Calif.; two daughters, Mabel, Mrs Ludvig Olson of Chetek, and Geneva, Mrs Robert Owen of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Josie Thompson of Spring Valley, Minn. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug 17, at the Miller Funeral Home in Dallas with Rev Leland Bottjen officiating. Burial was in the Dallas cemetery.
