Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron Co News Shield, Barron, WI - Thursday 10 Jul 1941 page 4 col 3 - obituary Henry Hanson Henry Hanson, son of Mr and Mrs Ole Severud, was born on March 5, 1875 in the town of Maple Grove and passed away on July 2, 1941 at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 27 days. He grew to manhood and lived in this community all his life except one year that he spent in Waukesha county. On May 10, 1905, he was married to Inga Peterson, also of this community and to this union were born 10 children. Thre girls preceded thier father in death, Ella, Lilah and Orpha. Left to mourn his departure are his wife, 3 daughters, Evelyn, Mrs Arthur Vuori of Ashtabula, Ohio, Lilah, Mrs Arthur Miller of Chetek; Myrtle, Mrs Arthur Mayala of Barron; four sons, Herbert, Orvin and Lester at home and Joseph of Chetek, and 8 grandchildren. He also left six sisters, Mrs Emma Lee, Mrs Peter Smithrud, Mrs Anna Arnold, Mrs Alfred Johnson, Mrs Inga Halvorson and Mrs Charles Peterson and four brothers, John, Oscar, Albion and Clifford Severude.
