WI) Funeral services were held Friday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church here for Mrs. Melvina Huiras, 67, of Canton who died last Wednesday at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Rev. Irving Meyett officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Huiras, the former Melvina Crotteau, was born in Barron county Nov. 19, 1898, and had made her home here her entire life. She is survived by her husband, John; four sons, Paul of Bruce, William of Barron, Roy of Canton and Elmer of Cameron; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Halverson of Rice Lake and Miss Minnie Huiras of Appleton; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Exzillia Kummett, Rice Lake and Mrs. Fred Boury of Mesa, Ariz. and by four brothers, Joe and Maurice Crotteau of Rice Lake, Fred of Mikana and Bill of Canton.
