Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron Co News Shield, Barron, WI - Thursday 19 May 1960 page 3 cols 7 & 8 - obituary Edwin Huset Edwin Huset, 74, of Barron died suddenly Tuesday evening, May 10 while visiting friends in Dallas. The son of Erick and Olia Amundson Huset, he was born March 25, 1886 in the town of Maple Grove and was married Nov 20, 1907 to Ida Lee at Dallas. Mr Huset farmed in the town of Dallas until 1945 when he moved to Barron. Surviving are his wife; four sons, Elmer of Cameron, Ervin of Eau Claire, Harland of Prairie Farm and Lloyd of Barron; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers, Conrad and Oscar of Dallas, Melvin of Chetek and Carlton of Bloomer, and four sisters, Palma, Mrs Carl Acker of Barron, Verna, Mrs Harvey Knowlton and Eunice, Mrs Carl Hughes of Sand Creek and Jane, Mrs Eddie Jankowsky of Rice Lake. Funeral services were held Friday, May 13, at the Miller Funeral Home at Dallas, at 1 pm and at the First Lutheran church of Barron at two o'clock, with Rev C P Thronson officiating. Burial was in the Dallas cemetery.
