Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Adis Javner in Wed., June 16, 1961 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Adis Javner, 84, Former Cameron Businessman Dies Adis Javner, 84, life long resident of the town of Stanley and operator of a shoe repair and variety store in Cameron for many years, died Thursday at the Barron hospital after a long illness. Mr. Javner was born June 1, 1877 and on Aug. 12, 1903 was married to the former Enga Maug at Cameron. He retired from business about 20 years ago. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Robarge of the town of Sumner, one grandchild, five brothers, Newart, Amstrom, and Selmer of cameron, Marcus of St. Paul and Dennis of LaCrosse and three sisters, Mrs. Sally Rossman of Milwaukee, Mrs. Nancy Beebe of Bayfield and Mrs. Tena Wilkins of Cameron. Funeral services were held Monday at the Faith Lutheran church in Cameron with Rev. Jerry Kuehn officiating and interment was in Pine Grove cemetery.
