Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Alphonsine (Derousseau) King in Wed., Dec. 3, 1952 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Mrs. Alphonsine King Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church for Mrs. Alphonsine King, 71, a long-time resident of Rice Lake, who died at a local hospital Saturday after a lingering illness. The services were conducted by Msgr. Peter F. Meyer, and pallbearers were Louis and George Roux, Archie, Milton and Wesley Derousseau and Elmer Thibert. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery. Mrs. King was born Alphonsine Derousseau at Quebec, Canada, April 13, 1881, and came to this country as a young woman after marrying Anton King. Her husband preceded her in death about eight months ago. Survivors include five sons, Tony, Louis, Francis, Medric and Harvey, all of Rice Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Celia Schnecky and Mrs. Loreen Beach; two sisters, Mrs. Celestine Boehmer and Mrs. Ebeline Secore; four brothers, Phillip, Dominic, Cyril and Medric Derousseau, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
