Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Richard King in Wed., June 15, 1955 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Richard King Richard King, retired farmer and one time logger, of the town of Doyle, died Wednesday at his home after a long illness. His age was 82. Funeral services were Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Dobie, with burial in the church cemetery. Father John Kauer conducted the rites. A rosary was recited for Mr. King at the Schneider-Mason funeral chapel in Rice Lake Thursday night. Born April 16, 1873, he was married to Leah Boury at the Dobie church on Feb. 21, 1901, and lived all his life in the town of Doyle. He worked for a lumber company in the old logging days. Rt. 1, Rice Lake was his address. He was a widower since Nov. 30 of last year. Surviving are a son, Lawrence, at the home farm; a daughter, Mrs. Adolph (Pearl) Robarge of Rice Lake; a brother, William of Warba, Minn., and two sisters, Mrs. Melvina Soucie of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Maggie Crotteau of Canton.
