Kolsky in Dec. 28, 1898 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Rites Held Tuesday For Robert P. Kolsky Funeral services for Robert P. Kolsky, 80, of Rice Lake were held Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake with Rev. Gene Teofilo officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery. Mr. Kolsky died Friday at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. He was born Nov. 8, 1908 in Logan, Kan. and married Mary Munich on Sept. 5, 1933. He was a radio operator in the U.S. Army and after discharge, went to work for WEAU radio in Eau Claire. He moved to Rice Lake in 1944 to work as a radio engineer for WJMC in Rice Lake and WHSN in Hayward. He also announced at WJMC and had his own radio program for a number of years. His wife died in July 1971 and he married Irene Crotteau Urban in January 1976. She died in April 1986. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Moose Lodge 402 in Rice Lake, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and at the time of his death, was close to his 50th year of employment in the radio industry. He is survived by sons, Robert Jr. of Ladysmith and Charles of Baltimore, Md.; daughters, Bobbette Overby of Chetek and Mary Winter of Mukwonago; eight grandchildren; a borther, Gerald Kolsky of San Diego; and a sister, Gladys Hindeman of Des Moines, Wash.
