Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Louis Kucko in Jan. 24, 1962 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Louis Kucko, 74, Buried Saturday Funeral services were held at the Hyllengren Funeral chapel Saturday for Louis Kucko, 74, of 1031 Ranney av. who was found dead at his home Thursday evening by a daughter, Mrs. Oscar Johnson. Rev. J. C. Stoltenberg officiated and burial was made in Orchard Beach cemetery. Mrs. Johnson called at the Kucko home about 6 p.m. to visit her father and when she could not get in she called police. Coroner Dr. Robert Lund of Cumberland ruled that death was by natural causes. Mr. Kucko was last seen alive late Tuesday. He was born in Czechloslavakia June 24, 1887 and came to America at the age of 26. He was married to the former Emma Barta August 22, 1910 at Chippewa Falls and moved to Rice Lake in 1924. He worked for many years at the Fehr Concrete Products firm. He is survived by six sons, John, Walter, and Jerry of Rice Lake, George of Brill, Francis of Alma, Iowa and Lester of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five daughters, Mrs. Lydia Johnson, Mrs. Evelyn Solie and Mrs. Anna DeMars of Rice Lake, Mrs. Helen Hollenstein of Sepulveda, Calif. and Mrs. Margery Starvo of Milwaukee. A number of grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Kucko died in 1957.
