Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Exzillia (Crotteau) Kummet in Wed., Nov. 20, 1996 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Exzillia Kummet Exzillia Kummet, 94, of Rice Lake died Nov. 14 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center. A Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake, with Rev. Kevin Gordon officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. The former Exzillia Crotteau was born June 3, 1902 in the Town of Doyle to Frank and Hermeline Crotteau. She married William Kummet on Nov. 27, 1923 in Dobie. They farmed in the Rice Lake area for many years, and after her husband's death in 1936, Exzillia hung wallpaper in many homes in the area. She was a member of the Rice Lake Moose Lodge. Mrs. Kummet is survived by two daughters, Bette Lewis of Rockford, Ill., and Elaine Nieman of Loves Park, Ill.; a son, Wallace Kummet of River Falls; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vallina Boury of Manitowoc. Her son LeaVear died in 1993; a daughter, Phyllis Mosansky, died in 1995; she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren.
