Submitted by: Gale Kurschner 07 February 2005 ************************************************************************ Source unknown KATHERINE KURSCHNER DIES AT PRAIRIE FARM Mrs. Katherine Kurschner, 82, a native of Germany who had lived in the Prairie Farm area for the past 75 years, died Saturday evening at her home in the town of Prairie Farm after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were planned for Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 24,at the St. Paul's Lutheran church in the town of Prairie Farm. Rev. Loyal Schroeder will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Kurschner, the daughter of Johannes and Anna Marie Miller, was born in Rengerhausen, Germany, May 30, 1875, and came with her parents to the United States when she was seven years old. She was married at Prairie Farm Aug. 26, 1896 to John Kurschner. Survivors include her husband; fours sons, Ervin of Menomonie, Harold of Prairie Farm; Theodore of Barron and Franklin of Cambridge, Minn.; five daughters, Mrs. Eva Aumock of Minneapolis, Mrs. Habel Hagemeister of Isanti, Minn., Mrs. Lydia Olson of Annandale, Minn., Mrs. Lillie Lieberherr of Cameron and Mrs. Louana Goodrich of Canton; 36 grandchildren, and 54 great grandchildren, besides a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Roemhild of Prairie Farm. © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm
