John Labree, one of the earliest settlers in this vicinity, died at the Chippewa County Asylum Tuesday morning. The remains were brought to this city Tuesday afternoon. The funeral services were held from the Dobie Church Wednesday, internment being made at the cemetery there. Rev. Fr. Berube conducted the osequies. The deceased was 83 years old and a father of Henry Labree and Mrs. A. Mero and a grandfather of A. L. Robarge all of this city.
