LaBrie, 81, died Friday at his home in Altoona. Services were held at Smith Funeral Chapel in Eau Claire. Burial was in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake this morning with military services. Mr. LaBrie was born April 30, 1912 in Barron County. He served in the Army during World War II in Germany. For many years he drove for Wisconsin Northern Bus, from Rice Lake to Superior to Eau Claire. He retired in 1972. He and his wife, Irene, moved near Bruce and later to Altoona. He is survived by his wife, Irene; three sons, George of Weyerhaeuser; Bruce of Norfolk, Va., and Craig of Eau Claire; a daughter, Sherry Klingee of Barron; five grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Brunette of Rice Lake."
