LaBrie, 98, of 19 W. Newton st., Rice Lake, died Tuesday at Lakeview Medical center. Funeral services will be held Friday from St. Joseph's Catholic church with Rev. John Spanjers officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. Alice Demers was born July 7, 1881, at Dobie, and married George LaBrie there June 16, 1903. She farmed with her husband in the area until his death in 1937. Mrs. LaBrie was a long-time member of the Women of the Moose, the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary, Lady Foresters, St. Joseph's Altar society and the Royal Neighbors of the Rice Lake Senior Citizens. She is survived by three daughters, Zella Brempell of Lake Arrowhead, Calif., Nola Robarge and Violet Brunette, both of Rice Lake; a son, Adolph of Bruce; 32 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great- grandchildren; and one sister, Victoria Chartier of Rice Lake. Visitation is set for Thursday afternoon and evening, as well as Friday morning, from Appleyard's home for funerals. Thursday there will also be a Lady Forester service at 7 p.m., a scripture service at 8 p.m., a VFW service at 8:30 p.m. and a Lady Moose memorial service at 9 p.m. at the funeral home."
