Funeral services were this Wednesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake, with Rev. Dave Oberts officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The former Marcella Robarge was born Sept. 5, 1922 to Edward and Leah Robarge in Rice Lake. She grew up in Rice Lake and attended St. Joseph's Parochial School and later La Follette Rural School. On Feb. 26, 1943 she married Walter Lundquist in Rice Lake and was a homemaker. They moved to South Carolina and later returned to Rice Lake. She began working in the school lunch program at St. Joseph's School in 1960 and for the next 35 years worked in the food preparation departments at St. Joseph's Hospital, Northland Care and Heritage Manor, retiring in January 1995. Mr. Lundquist died in 1965 and she married Ernest Rieper on Feb. 26, 1969 in Shell Lake. He died in 1996. Mrs. Lundquist-Rieper was skilled in quilting and embroidering, and liked to dance and play cards. Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Herrick of Madison, Beverly Prock of Rice Lake and Arlene Lundquist of Omaha, Neb.; a son, Dean of Tuscon, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Madeline Sinclair of Almena and Marion Nelson of Beloit; a brother, Donald Robarge of Hayward, Calif.; two stepdaughters; six stepsons; and many stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grand- children; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild."
