Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron County News Shield Barron, WI Thurs 16 Mar 1950 page 3 col 3 Raymond Malum Raymond Malum, son of Mr and Mrs T O Malum, was born in Maple Grove April 10, 1901, and passed away after a short illness at Rice Lake, March 8, 1950, attaining the age of 48 years, 10 months, and 28 days. Mr Malum was a life long resident of Maple Grove, a member of Nye Scandinavia church and recently employed by R E A. Surviving him are three brothers, Oscar and Clarence of Maple Grove, and Elmer of Cameron, four sisters, Anna, Mrs Emil Erickson, of Seattle, Wash., Lean, Mrs Oscar Severson, of Maple Grove, Selma, Mrs Michael Zabrak of Prairie Lake, Olga, Mrs Albert Kieser, of Barron, 11 nieces and five nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Services were held Saturday, March 11, 1 pm, at Nelson's Funeral Home, and at 2 pm at Nye Scandinavia church, Rev Hj. Froiland officiating. Two songs were rendered by Mr and Mrs Donald Halverson, organist, Maxine Amundson. Pallbearers were Ralph and Alf Moen, Charles Beckwith, Bennie & Victor Carlson, Richard Severson and Helmer Bakken.
