Catherine McGlade, nee Kennedy, was born in North Burgess, Ontario, Canada, on July 19, 1844. In 1870 she was married to James McGlade who was also born in Ontario. They settled in Oak Grove township in 1876. Eight children were born to this union. Seven of whom survive. They are Albert of St. Paul, Mrs. Parks of Minneapolis, Elizabeth at home, Patrick of Remer, Minn., Peter at home, Margaret and Michael of Brill. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Lady of Lourdes church, Rev. M. A.
