MILLER Anna Maria, daughter of Michael Ossah and Eva Elizabeth Wanzel, was born April 28, 1842 in Rengershausen, Germany. She was united in wedlock to Johannes Miller on May 28, 1865, and six children were born to their union. In January 1882, her husband and oldest daughter, Elizabeth, went to America to prepare a home for the remainder of the family who followed them in May of that year and settled in the town of Prairie Farm where she lived the remainder of her life. Due to the infirmaries of old age, she had been bedridden for the past seven years, a patient sufferer at all times. She departed to her eternal home on June 7, 1929, at 8:20 in the morning, and leaves to mourn her departure two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Roemhild and Mrs. John Kurschner, one son, Peter, with whom she made her home, all of Prairie Farm. 24 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends, some of whom live in Germany. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1911, and her son August on Sept. 19, 1915. An infant daughter, Helen, and a son, Conrad , died before the family removed to this country. As a firm supporter of the Christian faith she attained the age of 87 years, one month and nine days. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 9, in the German Lutheran church at Prairie Farm with interment in the cemetery there, the Rev. C. Auerswald officiating. © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm
