Submitted by: Kent Robarge 03 August 2007 ************************************************************************ Obituary of Louis Aristide Mireau in Thurs, Jan 23, 1919 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron County, WI) OBITUARY Louis Aristide Mireau was born Feb. 9, 1878, in the town of Cedar Lake and passed away at his home in the town of Doyle, Jan. 11, 1919, of bronchial pneumonia at the age of 40 years, 11 months and 2 days. The greater part of his life was passed here excepting a year which he spent in the west. To know him was to like him, as he had a sunny disposition and a smile for all. He was ever ready to help others and never thought of himself. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was married to Mrs. Sarah Dorey June 29, 1909. One daughter was born to this union. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, daughter, Delores, and stepson, Joe Dorey, his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. A. Mireau of this place, five brothers and three sisters, Gilbert, Olive and Mrs. Alice Lavell also of this place, Eugene, Charles, Moses and George of Ismay, Montana, and Mrs. John Cullen of Fort Frances, Ont; all of whom were here for the funeral excepting Eugene, Charles and Mrs. J. Cullen. Interment was made at the Dobie cemetery with solemn High Mass, Rev. Fr. Keiffer officiating.
