B. Morneau Mrs. J. B. Morneau, 76, R. 4A, Rice Lake, died Friday, March 23 at her home after an illness of nine months. Funeral services were held Monday, March 25, at St. Joseph's Catholic church with the Rev. Bernard Niggemann officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Milton, Marvin, and Wilfred Derousseau, Jacob Boehmer, Steve Smrcka, and Eusebe Derousseau. J. P. Schneider and Son had charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Morneau was born in 1870 in Stanwick, Canada. She married John B. Morneau in 1889 at Rice Lake, Wis. She has lived on a farm since 1897. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1936, and two sons, Alfred and Johnny, and three daughters, who died in infancy. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Med Derousseau, Rice Lake; three sons, Arsen and Clarence, Rice Lake, and Edmond, Mission, Texas; a sister, Mrs. John Dorcey, Rice Lake; two brothers, Paul and Edward Derousseau, Rice Lake; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Those from out of town at the funeral were Rev. S. A. Girouard, Superior; Milton Derousseau and Mrs. George Hilburn, Milwaukee; Mrs. T. Barton, Rita and Jeanne Morneau, and Warren Dawson, Minneapolis. note: place of birth was most likely Tingwick, Quebec, Canada (not Stanwick).
