JOHN NASER Rev. Fr. Fassbender officiated at requeim high mass on Saturday when last rites were held at Sacred Heart Catholic church for Mrs. John Naser, pioneer of the Almena community. Louise Gabriel was born June 6, 1868, in Prague, Germany, and came to America when 22 years of age. She was married to John Naser at St. Paul and they located at Almena in 1891, first on a farm north of the town and then in 1916 on a farm adjoining the village. She is survived by her husband and 10 children: Mrs. Marie Uleman of St. Paul, George of Bakersfield, Calif., John of St. Paul, Mrs. Wm. Effertz and Mrs. Henry Swansen of Almena, Joseph of Rochester, Minn., Mrs. Perry Mc Cann, Mrs. Bernard Mattson and Edward, all of Eau Claire, and Lenore, at home; two stepchidlren, Mrs. Henry Ruhlin and Mrs. Jos. Stoeberl Jr. of Almena, 29 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. John Miller of St. Paul and Mrs. George Stauner of Medford. One daughter, Mrs. Fred Yousten, preceded her in death. All of the children of the deceased and their families were present at the funeral except George of California and Joe of Rochester. Others from away who attended the funeral were Miss Lulu Froehner, Mesdames Mike Mulkern, Ben Olson, W. Johnson, and Jake Spies, Mr. and Mrs. John Schaeffer, all of St. Paul, Mesdames George Stauner and Bernard Hirsch, Mr. and Mrs. Jeo Kreff and Henry Brost, all of Medford. Mrs. Naser was one of Almena's most beloved ladies. She always was cheery and smiled to the end. Her kindnesses were numerous. Her nieces and nephews, Mr. and Mrs. Joe. Kreff, Mrs. Bernard Hirsch and Henry Brost sang the requiem. Flower girls were Barbara Steoberl and Bernadine Swansen. Pallbearers were N.P. Becker, John Pimple, Sebastian Stauner, Joseph Schaubschlager, Edward Kuchenmeister, and John Oberpriller.
