Mrs Elling Nelson died at her home in the town of Maple Grove on
Wednesday, October 21st, age 54 years and one month, after having
been ill about two years with Bright's disease and other complications.

Clara Christianson was born at Lillehammer, Norway, on September 21,
1860, immigrated to Barron County in November 1881.

On September 26, 1885, she was united in marriage to Elling Nelson,
and to this union eleven cheldren were born, 10 of whom survive: 
Christ, Mrs Anna Nelson of Eagle Bend, Minn, Norval, Nora, Inga,
Edwin, Julia, Melvin, Selma, and Elmer.  One sister, Mrs N M Rockman
of Barron, and one brother, Chris Carlson of Chippewa Falls, also
survive her.

All were present at the funeral except Mrs Anna Nelson, who was
unable to be present because of sickness.

In early life she joined the Norwegian Lutheran church and remained
as a member of this church until her death.

 The funeral was held from the New Scandinavian church in the town
of Maple Grove.  Rev Korkeborg of Dallas officiating.  Interment was
made in the church lot.

South Maple Grove
Mrs Clara Nelson died at her home in Maple Grove, Wednesday, October
21st.  Funeral services were held Friday and interment was made in
the Scandinavian cemetery.
