Submitted by: Barbara Horn 03 June 2004 ************************************************************************ Barron County News Shield, Barron, WI - 14 Dec 1950 page 6 col 3 & 4 - obituary Mrs Inga Owen Mrs Inga Owen, daughter of John and Elena Peterson, was born Feb 1, 1888 at Strum, Wis., and died suddenly December 9 at her home in Barron. At the age of 13 she moved with her parents to Dallas township. In 1905 she was married to Henry O Hanson of Dallas, and they were the parents of 10 children. Mr Hanson died July 5, 1941. In October, 1942, she was married to W T Owen of Dallas. He died March, 1948. In April, 1948, Mrs Owen moved to Barron, residing here until her death. Surviving are four sons, Joseph, Herbert, Orvin and Lester, all of Barron; three daughters, Mrs Arthur Vuori of New York Mills, Minn, Mrs Arthur Miller of Hillsdalte and Mrs Arthur Mayala of Chetek; three brothers, Emil Peterson of Chetek, Edwin Peterson of Cameron and Alfred Peterson of Barron; 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were three daughters, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 13, at the Barron Methodist church, Rev H A Allison officiating. Burial was in the Dallas cemetery, with Rausch funeral services in charge. Harley Olson sang at the services, accompanied by Mrs A J Folstad at the organ. Pallbearers were Wayne Peterson, Dennis Peterson, Leonard Arneson, Ernest Peterson, Merton Kulbeck and Ingwald Hanson. © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm
