Funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church on Wednesday, Rev. C Amundsen officiating, and interment was at Lakeside. Caroline Anderson Sonju was born in Eikers Prestegjeld, Norway, July 29, 1852. In 1880 she came to America, and after spending a year at Baldwin, WI, came to Cumberland, where, July 22, 1882, she was married to Nels Paulson, and she has lived either in the city or on the farm in the Section Ten community ever since. She is survived by her husband and nine daughters. Mathilda, now Mrs. Carl Olson: Anna, now Mrs. G. H. Frissell of Thief River Falls, MN. Idah: Inga, now Mrs. Ole Legvold of Thief River Falls, MN. Nellie, now Mrs. John Weiss of Big Sandy, Montanna. Clara, now in the employ of the government at Washington D.C. Emma, Marie, now Mrs. E. C. Swanander of Minneapolis: and Minna, all of whom had been with their mother for sometime before her death and all were present at the funeral except Mrs. Frissell who was called home on Monday of last week by the illness of her children. A niece, Mrs. Carl Gilbertson of spooner; Mrs. Peter Olson of Clayton: E. C. Swanander of Minneapolis, and clarence Berg of Souix Falls, SD, came to attend the funeral. Mrs. Paulson was a member of the Norwegian Lutheran church since her childhood. Her life had been a most busy one, and nothing could testify stronger to her worth than the devotion showed her by her daughters during her long illness. Her life had indeed been well spent with her family.
