Submitted by: Kent Robarge 10 December 2007 **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary of Caroline "Lena" (Enders) Penzkover in Jan. 11, 1989 Rice Lake Chronotype (Rice Lake, Barron Co., WI) Former Housekeeper, Cleaning Lady Dies Funeral services for Lena Penzkover, 89, of Rice Lake were held Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rice Lake with Rev. Kevin Gordon officiating. Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemtery in Dobie. Mrs. Penzkover died last Wednesday at Lakeview Medical Center. Lena Enders was born Feb. 26, 1899 in Plum City and moved to the Dobie area as a young girl. She was a housekeeper for many families in Rice Lake, worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and served as sacristan and cleaning lady for St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a member of the church and its Altar Society. Her husband, Lawrence, died in 1953. Survivors include a daughter, Philomena Mickelson of Rapid City, S.D., a son, Joseph of Milwaukee; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
