(Poirier) Penzkover in Thurs., May 30, 1996 Spooner Advocate (Spooner, Washburn Co., WI) Delores Penzkover Delores M. Penzkover, 62, Spooner, died on Saturday, May 25, 1996, at Spooner Community Memorial Hospital. She was born on Nov. 15, 1933, to Benjamin and Bertha Poirier in Spooner. She graduated from Spooner HIgh School in 1951. She had attended nurses training at St. Joseph's in Rice Lake and then worked at the Jellen Nursing Home, Spooner. She married Henry Penzkover in Chetek on July 7, 1952. She had cooked at the Dinner Bell in Trego and at Donatell's Club 70. Delores then attended the LCO Community College, Hayward, and received her teacher's aide certificate. She was a member of the Spooner American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie (Duane) Cooper, Lac Courte Oreilles, Radisson; a granddaughter; and one sister, Dorothy (Lawrence) Briggs, Spooner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1988. The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at Scalzo Funeral Home, Spooner, with Dr. Ray Heilborn officiating. Burial was in Spooner Veterans Cemetery. Visitation was from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Scalzo Funeral Home.
